The Questions to Ask Before You Take on a New Client
Not every client is the right client for you. It's tempting to say yes to every opportunity, especially when you're starting out. But, every new client requires your time, energy, and resources.
Not every client is the right client for you.
It's tempting to say yes to every opportunity, especially when you're starting out.
But, every new client requires your time, energy, and resources.
Before saying yes, ask yourself:
- Does this project fit my expertise?
- Can I deliver what they're expecting?
- Is the budget realistic?
- Do they respect my process?
- Will this client help or hurt my reputation?
- Does this opportunity align with my long-term goals?
Sometimes turning down work is actually good business.
The right clients value your expertise.
They communicate well.
They respect your time.
And, they're willing to pay fairly for your services.
